ITB Pain Explained

The ITB is a band that runs down the outside of the quad and quite commonly causes issues with runners, cyclists, and people just like you.  The main issue I see associated with ITB pain is Hip Pain and Knee Pain.

If the ITB becomes excessively tight for whatever reason it can affect the tracking of the knee and in my experience pull the kneecap to the lateral edge and start to cause inflammation on the outside of the knee due to the kneecap to sitting flush on the kneecap/meniscus.

Ilio Tibial Band Syndrome can plague people for years and years and most people resign to the fact that it is just part of their life and consequently, put up with it.

I can reassure you that I have successfully treated ITB pain countless times whilst working as a Remedial Massage Therapist in Brisbane and around Australia.  You don't need to put up with the pain in your ITB, it can be improved, there can be change, you can and will get back to running, or competing without pain, I assure you!

I am an ITB Pain Brisbane specialist and have treated countless people from all walks of life successfully.

I use a mixture of deep tissue techniques, myofascial techniques, which in layman's terms is working on the connective tissue throughout the body, I also work the tendons and ligaments.  Lastly, I mix corrective exercizes and educate you to take the necessary steps to make the changes long-lasting and sustainable, long into the future

The work I do is tailored specifically to you, I design a treatment plan based on your situation and your goals, eg. to start running again.  I send you how to videos to continue the momentum when you are not in the clinic.  I will do what I need to do to get you the result you deserve.
